/thread I wouldn't necessarily say the biggest one you can find/fit start with an alt that has good at idle amperage and then get a dual alt bracket with a bigger sized alt for the 2,000 RPM range if your system grows

my tahoe used to get the "shivers" at low idle and it would dip at times so I cleaned out the throttle body spacer with some brake cleaner and it hasn't had the problem since. its all the carbon deposits and build ups that clog it up from the unburned gas
