if you want to buy the motor and w/e just to put your soft parts in it you might as well just buy a ddz because i dont think dd would like selling just a motor and basket i misunderstood the question i thought you wanted a ddz recone kit for your 95 and from what i understand they are the same soft parts IMO it wouldnt be worth your time to try to fine "hard parts" to do the conversion

All wood produces saw dust mdf is just finer dust mix it with some resin and glass the corners of the box

O.p. Personally I would use mdf because of price but as others have said birch is much lighter and even looks nicer IMO but you have to pay for that
