well i havent even got the tahoe yet im waiting to get a loan but its proving to be difficult without a cosigner but once i get it and get some spare cash definitely

box will be probably 21 cubes im just in the rough stages of planning right now but im brainstorming 6 sundown 1500s of course the batteries and alt(s) to back it up and vcm thats why i was thinking lvl4 xls cause they are 1500rms or the z15s too

yeah i used to have 2 18s in my old tahoe and i have considered them as well

i want to do a new build with 6 15s in a tahoe i have some sundown sa8s left over from my last build so im really looking at sa15s or z15s or even nightshade 15s (but they might brake the bank) i really like having matching stuff but ive been itching to own some dc subs other wise im really open to suggestions what do you guys think im a college student so the budget is kinda tight but im not going to skimp on quality thanks

4 12s and yes if you set your gains right and dont clip the signal you can run the subs over rated power but you have to be careful

i would say 5k is way too much daily for any sub burps easy if you know what your doing but hell no on daily

the nightshade is the grand daddy of all sundown subs and its not 1500 rms the z is the nightshade is closer to 2000-2500

its area dependent. I plan on getting some quotes done on my truck in the spring. ill let you know what i come up with.

for a goooodddd paint job your easily looking at 10k. its much harder (and mre expensive) when you change the color of a car. to repaint the same color is different but to completely change it, yea, thats a good start. and you might be doing some of the prep yourself.
damn i had no idea they were that expensive i thought a 10k job was if you got candy and flake and all that fancy stuff

i know body work is most of the price but lets say there is minimal body work to be done

problem with lease is that you cant modify the car

i wanted you guys advise i am a college student and i dont have any money for a down payment i have concluded that i can afford no more than 300 a month for a car payment and thats really pushing it i would feel more comfortable around 250 i need something i can finance because i have no money saved up to pay cash i have been looking around locally and i have found a 2003 ext cab sierra z71 for 10999 thats basically what im looking for i just need something reliable and something i can put my beat in

Each sub has a blown coil I tested them individually and only one works on each so I'm giong to contact jacob and ask what I should do thanks for all the input it was extremely helpful

The subs are inverted and still connected I just tested then with a 14.4 v cordless drill battery and nothing happened and the I did it with the car battery and again not so much as a crackle from the subs how is it possible to get shpiied two different subs at two different times and get two bad subs

you might have a bad line out converter. you have an mp3 player? get a min jack to RCA cable and run it from the mp3 player to the amp. make sure oyu have power to the amp.
i checked the voltage coming out of the converter cause i thought the same thing but i have good voltage from everything even coming out of the amp going to the speakers

pull the subs. pop them with a battery see if you can get them to pop
check the impedence
make sure you dont have a speaker lead grounding out on something.
i checked impedance but i dont know if im doing it right cause sometimes i got a correct reading then the volt meter would go nuts or not show anything at all
what kind of battery like the car battery wouldnt that do harm to the speakers

i have checked every voltage that i can think of in ever spot that i can think of and everything checks out and is working and the subs arent moving at all there is output from the amp and going to the speakers i find it extremely hard to believe that i was shipped 2 faulty speakers
if you guys have any idea what i have done wrong PLEASE let me know i want to listen to my car

i like the idea of all focal they make GREAT speakers and subs and they also make amps too so everything would match just my .02

Are you running the mid bass off of a Sundown amp? You can band pass them if you are; it will be easy to choose what freq you play through them.
yeah i was looking at the crossover network on the sax125.2 and it will do exactly what i want i will probably end up running 2 125.2 and one sax1200 (i like to have matching stuff)

its up to you. could start with subs LP 8 0. midbass 8 0-300. midrange 300-4000. tweeters 4000+. then just play with it from there and find what you like.

whats a price range on those im starting to rule out dc it might be a little bit too expensive for me
