because it doesn't have room to breath
back seat boxes tend to suck
im not saying your wrong at all but how would it not have room to breath its the same box as the trunk and has move space for air to flow above it and all around it in my trunk the side were about 2 inches from the box and 6 inches from the top of the trunk and now its about 30 to 40 inches from the roof and there is about 5 inches on boh sides of the box

alright well im in the process of rebuilding and my subs arnt gonna be here for about a week i thought they would be here sooner but oh well .....anyways so instead of riding around with NO MUSIC AT ALL(i went without any radio no door speakers nothing! for about 4 days and i couldnt take it!) so since my back seat was already out any the car was tore apart so i just cut a platform out of mdf and put my old box in on top of that in place of my backseat(so i can still work in the trunk and have some music while driving)
i put the box the same way as it was in my trunk all 4 12s facing up, my problem is that it seems about 1/2 as loud as it was in my trunk.
why would it be quieter in the cabin of the car? is it because its taking longer for the sound waves to hit against something? in my trunk the waves had to go about 6 inches and now they have to go about 30 or 40 inches until they can make contact with something. could that be way it doesnt seem as loud?
also when it was in my trunk the windshield would flex and no it doesnt even move really, my alarm antenna does hit against the window like it did...........so i know its just not in my head lol
what way would u guys think it would get loudest?
facing the back window(like a wall)
or facing forward wall?
or facing it to driver or passenger side
im not gonna go thru and seal it all off or anything because its only gonna be like that for about a week or so

or you could just run 2 batts in the back.....alot of newer cars dont have any battery up front just 1 in the back ..... i know for a fact chevy coblats do cuz i had to work on one today ans i was like where the fuck is the battery

you wont devalue anything about the car by move the battery platform lower...... stuff like that people do NOT care about.....hell most people wouldnt even notice.

alright so i had a blow out the other day and i already ordered my tire and it should be here at 4 today .... but i have aftermarket rims and lugnuts......well i cant find a socket anywhere to fit it the shop that put it on forgot to give me the socket and i called them and he is on vacation for 3 weeks :/ so wheres a place i can find one!
i have called all the local rim shops and bought 2 different ones and they dont work, the side are to thick on them to go all the way back but all i know is its a spline drive socket and has 6 little things on it......

why not just get a rca bass knob? its a lot easier and instead of get a bunch of different amps why dont you just get 1 big amp or 2 big amps?
more amps means more money....
the amps alone will cost more to buy 6 smaller amps then a couple big ones .... the wire is gonna cost more, your gonna need more power to run the amps.....imho its not worth it
going by what prices i have access to 2 3500s is $100 less than 6 1500s and the smaller amps would make the power more efficiently i have wire and ill be sure to work on the electrical because either way im going to have to beef it up ALOT
what subs are you putting these on?

im sure your screen wont mess up i have 4 touch screens in my car and they all work fine, also if there was a risk i dont think car companys would install them as options that they would have to replace if cold air fucked them up... and dont slam on your subs as soon as you get in the car if your worried. just play them a little unitl your car heats up and then slam on them

does it have metal under your rear deck cover? im just gonna use a plasma cutter if i cut my rear deck(i havent decided yet)

yea..my dad said they were good back in the day( he started over 25+ years ago and stopped in 2000) but he doesnt know how good they are now(just like most companies now)

That's crazy! I have never seen anything like that! I would have got in my car and cranked up the subs and shook the ice off! LOL
lol it was so thick it was hard to punch and break it on the trunk.... lol ....my dad waslocked out of his challenger cuz when you pull on the handle the window comes down a little so u can open the door and it was frozen so it didnt go down lol! and he was out side with a heat gun tryn to melt it

ohhhhh thanks for clearing that up sorry i didnt understand at first but is there any way to make it better at all? like maybe facing the box a different way or something?
