laptops are bad about dust gathering around the intakes. definately use a can of air duster to clean them out often.

if the green light is not on on the charger, then thats whats bad. replace it and youll be fine. i have an inspiron 1501 and my charger went bad a couple of months ago and i replaced and its working fine now

batteries are expensive too. when i got my lapdance i upgraded my battery to the best one i could get and it added 200 dollars to the price.
