  1. Hey just wanted to say thanks for hooking me up with such an awesome amp at an awesome price!

DC Audio seriously can't be beat. Not there cs, their prices, or their product! They are the best for a reason...

Thanks again Rusty, I can't wait to get my subs built by you guys next! Keep up the awesome work! :drinks:

  2. the other day at a comp i managed to pull just under 3k out of my 5k in the Chevy w it wired at .7 ohm and just over a 2 ohm box rise...so thats just about 3 ohm and pulling 29XX so just under 3k...not bad

Damn, so I probably want to try to wire @3 ohms then, cause I don't think my subs will like 3K very much...

Thanks man, and those are some nice numbers! I can't wait to get some bail-outs, like you did in the Durango!

Probably be a min before I can do that though...

what subs do you have and how many? also that 3k is being put out at me wired at .7 ohm if you wire at 3 ohm your going to still get box rise and maybe only get 800-1000 watts out of that amp.

3 12" L5's - (600rms each) in a 7.5^3ft box tuned @33hz. My only other option is to wire down to 1.34, what do you think about that? Too much, or just right after rise?

I know, shitty subs for such a good amp. But this is just till I get my 18's

Thanks again man I really appreciate the help! :drinks:

  4. Cool, so should I wire my subs up to 3(before rise) or leave them wired @1.34? I get my amp tomorrow, is the reason I ask.

    They are 3 12" L5's rated @600rms each.

And electric is so so right now, got a MLA and a 200 amp alt, but kinda low on the batts, w only 2 Kinetics :(

(But I'll watch it VERY CLOSLY!)

And just in case anyone is wondering, this amp was bought to run 2 18" DC XL's, but I won't own them for a min. So...

    Thanks again guys!

  5. Just design and build it yourself. You will feel so much more pride when showing it off knowing that you done it all. This is the perfect one to start with as well, small enclosure with a single driver. Just decide where you want it to go and do as chrislun said, L"xW"xH"/1728 don't forget to account for speaker and port displacement. I think Sundown is recommending 12"^2 for port area.

    Yes, this X2!

If you have problems figuring something out with the Torres calculator, someone will help you. And that will still be considered your design. And he is right, it feels so good to come up w a design yourself, then build it, then see and hear the results. Now is the best time to learn, and like I say, if you need it, we will help! :drink40:

  6. With a salvage title the car will have zero resale value, just keep that in mind.

Wrong, the loan value of a salvage auto is 80%, meaning it does have some resale value, just not the same as a clear title.

You would be surprised how many cars out there are salvage title.

A lot of times, it may be minimal damage, but the insurance totals it out cause it cost more to fix than what they consider it to be worth.
