46panel
The reason you need more power is, with a 4th order you usually have more efficientcy. However, that's with mainly a bigger ratio porter chamber, with the smaller ratios you'll generally have a flatter response and more power handling. So once you start pitting some real power on it you may even need to play with the port some more, as it will probably change the response of things a little. Do you think I would want a smaller or larger port with more powwr? 1946 Chevy Panel Truck: For Sale 1999 Ford Explorer XLT Subs: Ten Obsidian Audio 15's Sub Amps: Five American Bass 120.1's Speakers: American Bass mids and selenium tweeters Speaker Amp: Mb Quart Dsc4125 Electrical: DC power 250amp alt, 6 batteries http://www.youtube.com/user/46panel

So to my understanding (sorry to derail), they are more efficient kind of like a bigger box, but only really with a higher ported chamber ratio. so if you have smaller port area you get better power handling/mechanical control but it becomes less efficient, demanding more power but with a flatter response. As for the op, WTB vids. Mid 20s is sexy as hell and more power should bring her alive as the 'pros' are saying I guess.

46panel
I'm just really looking forward to pulling this whole box apart since one of the subs is rattling from the box and I have no clue why since all the screws on them are beefy and tight. It's only when it goes real low but I can like pull on the motor and the noise goes away so atleast I know that problem but can't make it all pretty and finish it till I fix that 1946 Chevy Panel Truck: For Sale 1999 Ford Explorer XLT Subs: Ten Obsidian Audio 15's Sub Amps: Five American Bass 120.1's Speakers: American Bass mids and selenium tweeters Speaker Amp: Mb Quart Dsc4125 Electrical: DC power 250amp alt, 6 batteries http://www.youtube.com/user/46panel
