nosho47
Cool... if i do end up picking up the amplifier, i will probably just run it at 2 ohms... i am trying to get power equivalent to my two sundown 3k's... the only reason why i am looking for a different amp is cause i am trying to save me some space where i mounted them
nosho47
They are rated at 12v
BFF Larry
There is no other way to mount the sundown 3ks differently ? nosho47
this is how i have them mounted... i had them side by side but it would be hard to run my 0 awg wires... my problem is that my 4 channel amp is sticking up a little too high and it hits the bottom of my bedcover... since the piece covering the amplifier is 3/4" thick (scrap from my box) I think I will buy 1/2" mdf instead... I'm hoping that will work. If I just got one amplifier instead, it is guaranteed that it will fit with no problem Edited March 7, 2012 by nosho47
BFF Larry
I would stick with the 3ks. Use 1/2 " like u said. Those amps will do more than that stetsom. And cleaner. STEvil
You could angle the amps, fit way better and have more room for cooling Quote MickyMcD - "Capable of making some serious trouser flapping volumes at where's-my-testicles frequencies, the Servo-Drives used to be fairly jaw dropping..." Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through. Hammerdown... 1% no links to outside websites, business related FB/YT pages allowed. SmallTruk
You could angle the amps, fit way better and have more room for cooling ^ this Mount all 3 amps at like a 45 degree angle a few inches apart and it looks like you'd have enough room
9515ROB
you can run that amp at .5 daily just watch your voltage. Quote - 1998 Ford Mustang - Time to rebuild. 4 15s and alot of power TEAM DTF

Ehhh im going to have to disagree. Stetsom is known for putting out big power at lower voltage and high impedance which is where they will pass up alot of amps. I am alot bigger of a fan of the k2d model then the k2e Quote - 1998 Ford Mustang - Time to rebuild. 4 15s and alot of power TEAM DTF
