Joe X
400watts? http://www.crutchfield.com/S-ApXfz6Gq7s1/p_500MRPM450/Alpine-MRP-M450.html Since rms is 200 and peak is 800, I assumed anything in between was fine if I didnt leave it on for a while. I dont think the wattage specs are right, if anything Id say its double what its listed at. I can run 1 amp, save the other for the zuke. I tried plywood, mdf sounds better. No man RMS is the bottom line of what the sub will withstand for daily use safely, you can go ahead to abuse them a little but not every sub will take double their RMS rating dialy. john253a
Your subs are single 4 ohm In parallel your amp will see 2ohm 2ohm load on is 400rms so 200 a piece Witch is there rate rms You could run 2 amp both at 4 ohm Giving you 200 a piece Just it's harder to tune and not alway recommend unless separate boxes But on your case stick with 1 amp and keep other for spare
Cobb
Thanks you again John for your help. Ive had a few projects and the on going job search get in the way. Luckily I had this on the printer and had grabbed it with some other papers on my way to an interview today. The person asked about my hobbies and I noticed this in my binder, pulled it out and used it as part of our conversation. He too was into audio and thought you just slap some subs in a box and BOOM you got a system. 2010 Honda Insight Eco Modded + PHEV 1995 Suzuki Sidekick 4wd 5 speed LJX
