YukonDCXL
Just installed my dc 3.5k's strapped them and tuned with track 5 with my dd-1. I set gains with bass knob all the way up so I can never go into distortion but before I even turn the knob half way up the clipping light on bass knob starts blinking, why is this? Trill
Does the DD1 show distortion with the bass knob all the way up? I hear the bass knob clip light is not the most accurate thing. Some people say set with DD1 and ignore the clip light on bass knob. Minnesota! Y U NO GET WARM!
RooTxBeeR
I ignore the clip light on my AQ. Haven't had any problems. No, I purposely had bass knob all the way up when I set the gains because I hate it when I set my last one with knob in the middle because then you gotta freakin look at the thing to make sure you did not turn it up too far
Trill
If DD1 doesnt show distortion then I think you're fine. I'm no expert but from what I have read on these forums it seems like a good answer. If you notice anything by ear at full tilt I would just back it off a little. Minnesota! Y U NO GET WARM! YukonDCXL
So Rusty (DC owner) said that if light is only flashing then thats a soft clip but if light stays on solid then thats a hard clip and would want to back down at that point
