so i have been using limewire for a while....well recently it just stays at still connecting and shows a firewall blocking it....so i disabled my norton firewall and my windows firewall....and it STILL shows theres a firewall and wont connect.....oh and by the way i uninstalled and just installed the new version and its doing the same......anyone know whats up??

Limewire has a port you need to enable to let traffic through so hosts can find your computer, also, Try downgrading to an older version, that might fix your problem http://www.oldversion.com/program.php?n=limewire

Also, what kind of operating system are you running, XP, Vista, Mac? Also, like Accordman said, if your running your internet through a router/wireless router, there should be a online control panel you can access to turn off the routers firewall, most routers come with their own hardware firewalls.
