you could look into a DC Audio level 3 or 4 12 or 15" in a nice sealed or ported box?

Not sure EXACTLY what you're lookin for but ya

well, me either really, lol....he is one of those guys that knows absolutely nothing about anything car audio/car audio related.....he wants me and my buddy to do a system, and he says he doesnt like it loud...but he says he wants it to be able to get loud so he can more or less showoff....so i ruled anything HUGE out of the way.....i figure i dont want to put something in for him if he isnt going to use/listen to them....you know?? i was thinking at max....like 3 10s or 3 12s....just trying to basically get ideas on the brand to use that is cheap but not just complete shit....and sorry if that still doesnt clear things up....

How about 2 fi ssd 15's?

You will need to post a little more than just your price range. Vehicle, enclosure size max, electrical, etc.

ok, so i just got off the phone with him....its a 95 tahoe...so he has the room...not sure of the measurments.....havent even seen the vehicle yet....but electrical is nothing huge maybe adding another battery....i kind of talked to him and im thinking only around 1000watts....everytime i ask him what he wants to acheive he just says he wants it to sound good with rock and also be able to show off for his friends....so i am not sure exactly what he's looking for, kinda hoping some of yall could help me out with that part......and sorry that i dont have the measurments
