Slappin F150
Switching to the Bl would get it louder. But If you do get a BL, personally Id make a new box for the BL also to help it out a bit. dwz
Alpine Type-Rs are pretty damn clean. Why don't you get multiple Alpines? I have a pair of 12"s and I'm bout to get another pair. They sound crisper than most. They don't look that fresh cause of the surround but the SQ and SPL is well balanced.

You can't honestly make that statement. There's no way to tell what's going to be louder unless you put both in the car and do a comparrison. Just because the Bl is a bit beefier sub doesn't mean that it's going to be louder. I've seen lesser subs end up louder than ones that beat it on paper. Also the fact that he only has 1K watts says that he's going to be able to push the Type R to full potential as opposed to only being able to give the Bl rms. I would almost bet that the Type R and Bl won't be much different off of that amount of power. 2013 VW Jetta GLI 2.0 Turbo 1 Sundown Audio SCV2000 1 Sundown Audio X15 V2 1 XS Power D3100 Audio Control LC6i Stock Deck 146.4 sealed on the dash at 37hz 2001 Focus ZX3: RETIRED Team Sundown Audio, Team XS Power, 2 time NSPL Car 3601-Up Champion, 2 time NSPL Car Hardcore ChampionHighest NSPL Scores to date:154.3db on the dash sealed at 46hz, 156.2db in the kick at 46hz155.2db unofficial on dash at 43hz
