OldsBoomer Posted July 7, 2009 Report Share Posted July 7, 2009 (edited) ok well im a high school grad that is goin into college next year and a Laptop is a must... so i built a couple of laptops and one was a Sony Fw and the other one was the 15.5" Hp both pretty much the same cost the Sony had 2.53 Ghz intel processor 4 Gb's of Ram and the Hp had a 2.4 Ghz intel processor and 4 Gb's of ram and the sony had a upgraded video card.... im looking to spend around 1200 max and am using it for school, music, maybe some imaging(cadd), some vids,and a little gaming does do these sound ok? which would be better? any suggestions? AMD processors don't suck, they might not be a "Fast" as its Intel counterpart, but that doesnt mean AMD sucks, AMD serves a huge roll in the server/gaming/basic PC/htpc/etc... area, perhaps more then you might know or realize. So maybe someday Ill give AMD a second chance, I have just never had good experiance with them in the past. They do build computers with Intel processors.
