You "CAN" run 4-5k watts on your stock alot.

I had HC1400, HC2400, AQ 2200D, and 5 XT amps on my stock alt. Was it smart? Probably not. Did it last over a year? Yes. Have i changed my alternator yet? No. Have i seen any problems at all with my electrical in my car? No. Am i going to get a h/o alternator eventually? Yes.

have u clamped it to c if your running a true 4-5k rms?

why dont you just get a bracket and switch over your alt you got? go to autozone and get the cheapest alt for your car to replace it....

Full eclipse system is next on list.. soon to gut and redo the honda as new project/rolling buissness card :)

i miss the sound of those old school strokers on beast amps :(

my dad was asking me why i dont do this.. i didnt think it was possible. thanks a lot!

and to everyone else.. sorry if sound stupid. i know that a HO alt is the best route to go, and the story about the kid confuses me too. but thanks for all your help! ill prolly just run my woofer @ 4 ohms for now until i look into what Nic said.
