fritosaregood
if you're "worried" i guess you can call it, check to make sure you have all bass enhancement "features" off on your headunit/external EQ. yea, that too^^ Quote seller feedback: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=61719 http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=68281 build log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/index.php?showtopic=44800 Gf's build: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/54346-kickergirls-camaro-new-box-pg-5/#entry753970
Guest
as said already, your hu rca voltage determines where you need to set the gain. I cant be all the way down a still put out full rated power, i would say you need to turn the remote bass all the way off, you dont even really need to use the bass boost at all. unless however it is a remote gain knob which im not sure if aq used them, if it is, you should set the amp with it all the way up or disconnected. all of AQ amps' knobs are gain control knobs, WITH accurate clipping indicators. It has the power light, and a clipping light. Also, on my HU, do I want to turn down SRC lvl to 0? And my bass on the EQ settings as well? I have L at +2, Mid -3, and treb +4. Bass boost is 0. What about loudness? I keep it at HIGH because it makes my components louder. Not too sure what that's doing to my sub. Quote 2006 Nissan Z Track. Alex K
Makes sence. I've been running those kappas like that for a year or so now and they've tanked through it haha. But I'll reset tomorrow and post back my results. I thought something might be up and that's why I posted here. Quote 2006 Nissan Z Track. bassl0va
No problem, with my gain at max it doesn't clip (o-scoped). The HU puts out so little voltage because it's 20 years old! lol. Gain is the ratio of increase, so you will be fine.
