mounting bolts on 9 DC XL 15"

im getting everything together to build my box, and im wondering if 1/4" bolts are the largest i can go to mount the subs?? ill be using T nuts and bolts so if anyone has any info thatd be great... i know that 1/4" is knda standard but im just wondering if i can go larger??

1/4" bolts should do just fine. My only advice is to make sure that your cutouts for the subs are PERFECT. I tried using t nuts and bolts to mount my SMDs and the cutout was about 1/8" too big and the T Nuts did not have enough wood to get a good hold in the wood.

I used t-nuts and 1/4 bolts with a allen head work great. like cj said the holes have to be perfect and if you can put a lil ca glue on the edges of t-nuts to hold them in. I had problems of them dropping in the box if the bolt doesnt line up just right it will push it in the box. pain in the ass if its you last sub and cant get to it :)

TL results:157.1 at 38hz and 156.8 at headrest score @37hz. STATE AND NATIONAL RECORD IN MECA S5.
