AMI CUSTOMS Posted January 30, 2011 Report Share Posted January 30, 2011 Sorry that was a typo I meant dual 4's, you can only wire them as 4 ohms or 1 ohm and the pair strapped is stable at 2 ohms, re read my 1st reply...LOL ok well i geuss im juss gonna have to run them at 1 ohm but if i run 3 3100s and a 250 amp alt will that be sufficeint enough electrical for daily use? Just watch your voltage drop at the amps and be aware that it voids the warranty on the amps if you are buying them new. 4k worth of power would be around 380 amps out of those amps strapped at 2 ohms, when you drop ohm load the current can go up quite a bit more. 250 amp ho alt and 3 3100 will keep it up for a good while but you will over time drain those batteries and need to maintain them with a battery charger or drive for long periods with the amps not at full tilt to top the batteries off.
